To me this song seems like it's about a soldier that has returned from combat and is suffering Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. The soldier is paranoid about getting attacked because of his past experiences in war and feels the need to stay alert at all times. Anxiety is attacking him and he has to "fall asleep with a panic switch" and "feel pistol whipped in a crowded room" because of what hes been through. Oh well. At least thats what i think of it |

This song is truly something amazing. As I interpret it, it's about a guy who is in love with the girl of his dreams amd his first and only chance with her, he screws up and is left to be "fixed" because a part of him has been left behind with that girl. He's now reflecting on his failed relationship and and thinking about what could have been and going through all the possibilities of what could of happened between them. I can totally relate to this. I rushed into a relationship with one of my best friends and we've both left something special behind. I wish it could just all be "fixed" an we can start over again..... Every time I listen to this song, it makes me feel a state of emotional numbness that makes me want to smile and cry at the same time. As soon as the bridge plays, I just close my eyes and let the music flow through me. This Song is the most beautiful piece I've ever heard and is truly magical in an indescribable way.

Probably the best song ever. Awesome chord progression with beautiful lyrics really makes it stand out among the rest. Sitting in my room and reflecting on the lyrics can always get my spirits up. |

To me, this song seems that it's about Jesus. It's saying about he's the greatest man that ever lived (being the son of god) and that he was born to give (give up his life to save humanity). "Look up and follow the star (referring to the birth of Jesus). "Cut my heart with a martyr's spike (Jesuss crusifiction). Also the part where he talks about act 1 and act 2 could be referring to the old and new testament. I don't know if it's just me who thinks this but this always comes into my head when I hear this song. |
