Agree. "They said "you'll be ok anyway" and I smiled cause I'd known it all the while". Metaphor. They said she's gonna die anyway. "I can afford chemo like I can afford limo". Limo is another metaphor (something expensive and not affordable). If she pays money for the treatment that not helping her at all - why the hell should she keep on with that? She'd rather ride on a limo with her kids. Going west is one more metaphor for ruined expectations, plans, future. "Crispy crispy BF babysat all four of my kids". This line is a metaphor for leaving her kids with no money to live and no one who'd take care of them. And she has terminal cancer which along with the chemo makes her hallucinate. So the doctor becomes a limo driver, her daughter's image is mixed up with that of her dead mom. Thus I think that two main words lirically describing this song is 'metaphor' and 'hallucination'. |

English translation [When it] Starts to snow I see you Hear you Running to me on rooftops Afraid to be late Half-firmament eyes Half-life ago Give me your heart Sit down and we'll be waiting When it starts to snow Starts to snow I see you Hear you Trust me with your secrets And where am I to look for you When it starts to snow Starts to snow I see you |
