| also, something i've always thought was obvious was that the things diana and jim said to each other outside the house happened way, way before jim drove came back to the house. i've noticed a lot of comments here that suggest that's not the case. | |

okay, so, "a man" knew jim in high school, "me" met jim's wife on the phone, diana is someone jim used to be with and probably never got over. at the end of "me"s verse, the last person to talk is jim, which leads into jim's verse. so...am i the only one who thinks maybe diana was also the ex-first-love that met up with "a man" at jim's wake? she's the last person to talk in "a man"s verse. that's a weak justification for my theory. but if diana was the woman at the wake it would explain why she knew how jim and the slow fade of love were so entwined. either ex-first-love, "me", and diana are all secondary, spectator characters, or they share one or two identities. that's what i think. |
