It is talking about trying for something or someone and failing. But it is telling you who fail do not give up "There's a time for the second best". Then it tells you you may hurt from failing but "And there's a time when the feeling's gone" even though your scared you got to be tough "But it's hard to be hard I guess When you're shaking like a dog" dont throw tantrums like a little girl "You can holler, you can wail You can blow what's left of my right mind You can swing, you can flail" and i say girl be cause girls use the right side of the brain "You can blow what's left of my right mind" where as men use the left "And after all God can keep my soul England have my bones But don't ever give me up I could never get back up when the future starts so slow No longing for the moonlight No longing for the sun No longer will I curse the bad I've done If there's a time when your feelings gone, I wanna feel it" this part leads me to believe that it is a about a person because asks someone to not give them up and if they were dropped or fallen they probably would fall behind or even die/kill themselves but the person becomes strong and realizes there will be a time when that horrible feeling inside of failing will be gone one day and that they will make it. that is my perspective of the song |
