I think, to explain the chorus it slightly is about confusion. So, it starts of calm, with piano before breaking into loud guitar. Which is a pretty confused state if you ask me. 'Destroy the spineless' - Those who don't stick up for themselves ect. will be crushed/die 'Show me it's real' - That you can't trust anybody without proof 'Wasting our last chance' - This theory only really works with the next line. That when you get a chance to leave, you throw it away and stay 'To come away' - as abovr 'Just break the silence' - That no-one knows whats happening anymore, scared into silence 'cause I'm drifting away' - I'm getting lost in people 'Away from you' - And I'm not getting lost in you. |

You want a translation? Basically, he said when you stop being naive and open your eyes to the world, it's like you're being born again, so you become a new born to the world. Helpful? :D |

Your little verse there...however touching... is kinda already said in your username. It's a beautiful little poem. Title it 'My Devotion To The Amazing and Multi-Talented Matthew Bellamy' and send it in to a poetry competition and hope that one of the judges is a Muse fan. |

I would say not only is it about love, but about being famous. First verse - Far away This ship is taking me far away Far away from the memories Of the people who care if I live or die Second verse - Starlight I will be chasing a starlight Until the end of my life I dont know if it's worth it anymore 'Starlight' could also be Stardom. He is forever chasing Stardom but he's getting so far away from reality it dosen't seem worth it to carry on. Same for first verse. The ship is taking him far away from his family and other friends, the ones who really care about him and 'whether I live or die' as most fans I guess in a way don't care the same way. The memories are the fact he hasn't had time for anything other than trying to get fame, so family/other friends are only the memories he carries around with him. And the 'ship' is making him so detached from reality, which is memories of people who care. *bows* |
