| The Killers – For Reasons Unknown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Ok so, hes about to fly out to see his partener, hes getting ready...checking his face... ect. he notices he sess himslef differently. 'with one deap breath, one big step, i move a little bit closer'- towards the door. I caught my stride i flew and flied i said if detinys kind i've got the rest on my mind so here hes catching his stride, rushing towards the airport, he 'flew and flied' (on the plane) 'if detinys kind, i've got the rest on my mind'- so hes hoping hes going to stop thinking negatively like he did before, when he saw himself in the mirror and noticed he'd changed, his feelings had perhaps changed and he must remember the rest of it...what he thought of himself before that morning 'i've got the rest on my mind' and he sees her and this is what he realises when he sees her, 'my heart, it don't beat, It don't beat the way it used to And my eyes, they don't see you no more And my lips, they don't kiss, They don't kiss the way they used to And my eyes don't recognize you no more' ..its just not the same. |

| The Cranberries – Zombie Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The term Zombie used in this song refers to the fact the different religons in Ireland would march through the opposite religion's town like zombies to premote they're religon and doing so would be obused. It also refers to the mistake Ireland made and the British control that was over Ireland was thoughtless and rather a 'zombie' thing to do...something which was a stupid decision. In Ireland there is a cemetery and the different religions buried in the cemetery are actually seperated by a brick wall which runs underground. This was to supposibily stop the religions combining...even after death. Makes you wonder if they thought people would still fight even after they're dead. So i suppose Zombie could also mean the fact these people seperated in the cemetery are infact exspected to be 'zombies'. |

No one has picked on the reference to why the song is actually called 'Zombie'. | Red Hot Chili Peppers – Californication Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i love the lines 'teenage bride with a baby inside getting high in information' obviously its saying 'pregnant teenagers, getting married because of their pregnancies and their craving, loving the information on how to become a good mother' 'And earthquakes are to a girl's guitar They are just another good vibration' haha its so ironic because obviously this refers to the fact we dont really see that earthquakes are distructable. 'Good vibration' obviously refers to the fact its good, experiencing almost 'pleasure' from the vibration. |

| I Heart Hiroshima – Shakeytown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i love i heart hiroshima, im a massive fan. and no, this is not what the song is about, but gooood trrrry. aha, firstly 'Hiroshima' is a city in Japan and it was bombed in world war 2 by the american's. 'shakeytown' refers to the fact hiroshima actually shook during the bombings. This whole song is based upon the attack. "I'll take you underground" this refers to the many people buried under shrapnal. peace. |

| i totally agree with your interpretation, thankyou. | |
| Bloc Party – Blue Light Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
this song in particular, i can relate to. the lines 'Just tell me it's tearing you apart, Just tell me you cannot sleep'. This reminds me SO much of when my boyfriend and I split up, and all I wanted to hear was him say how much he was suffering without me, like i suffered without him. |

| shit, i mean scar tissue, sorry, i was listening to tear while writing this ahha | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Catholic School Girls Rule Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| if you've ever read the noval 'tear' about the chilli pepper's than you'd know what this really means. In the book it said that Anthony, in his dressing room was approached by a singer that was only 14 years of age, dressed up as Marylin Monroe, because she was going on stage to sing a song by Marylin. Anthony then had sex with her. | |
| Missy Higgins – The Special Two Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
aha, its funny. my mother was convinced this was about missy's love for her 'lady' freind, seeing as shes homosexual, or bi, or whatever. the line that says 'And we could only see each other, we'll bleed together', she interpreted this as a woman's period and how misssy and her girlfreind get it at the same time. isn't that strange... |

| Kisschasy – Strawberry Jam Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
woah, no comments ? well this song is so, coooool. i love this song. it's about Kisscahsey, as a band and how they don't take credit for how massive they've become. How being famous doesn't mean you've got real 'FRIENDS' |
|
| Van Morrison – Brown Eyed Girl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this song is clearly about heroin. | |
| Kisschasy – Spray On Pants Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
the title of this song sums it up "Spray on Pants' also known as skinnys, tight jeans. you know the 'cool' jeans that are now becoming increasingly cheap at jayjays and even fat kids are wearing them now, which gives irony to the name. Its obviously about the trends and how ridiculous they look on some people, they can't get up and dance because tehy're all wearing spray on pants' heeelll tight pants that allow zero movement. They put themselves though sometimes, what looks like agony squeezing into tight jeans. But it is also about a relationship between two young rebelious teens, they both go to all of the same clubs where everyone takes all the same drugs and talk about how they're so fucked up. |
|
| Angus and Julia Stone – And the Boys Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i feel its about the constant changing of minds in a relationship, the false promises. the cracks in the walls that feel to be placed there each time they fight, slowly the gold of her world, of her heart, it perishes and soon the gold inside her feels like nothing but worthless flakes. | |
| Bloc Party – One Month Off Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
it's strange because the way i see it, this song is about a young girl having a fling with an older man. 'Well there were seven years between us' this makes me think its some kind of school girl crush on an older man and the lines after it 'Seems that all my friends were right That we can't survive on your bedroom eyes And a Spanish guitar' its as though this girls friends have warned her of her fantasy man and this clearly only sexual relationship turning pear shape. The Spanish Guitar is obviously a talent of this man and an attractive atribute. 'When we Started this is was paradise'. It always seems like paradise when you first have this wild and dangerous relationship with an older man. 'And it's just not like me to lash out But, enough is enough Tell me what the others can do That I cant' Obviously, this deminated school girl is lashing out at her older male superia. he probably often looks at, or thinks about or even compares her to older women, and she's jealous. 'Fighting fire with firewood' This is refering to fighting a blaze with a blaze. fighting lies with lies, lying to her and then covering these lies up with more lies. this man has obviously changed since they first started seeing each other turning 'L.A' maybe this is to impress his other women that he compares her to. This is an amazing song, yet another jem from Bloc Party. |
