i absolutely love mayday parade, but this new album is really disappointing. with the loss of jason lancaster on vocals and guitar, the band just is not the same. with the exception of a few songs, most of the album lacks true meaning behind any of the lyrics (which were contributed by lancaster). in my opinion, lancaster made the band unique. if you dont believe me, listen to Three Cheers for Five Years vs Kids in Love. or The Last Something That Meant Anything vs Anywhere but Here. the difference is obvious, and slightly depressing. |
