| I've just heard this song for the first time today and I fell in love with it oblivious to its meaning. After reading your description I started crying because I have lost two grandparents who have had Alzheimer's. This song epitomises the beauty one can find in sadness - while the tears still fall from my eyes, there is so much beauty in this song. Angus and Julia have an innate ability to write a song like no one else can. | |

Great song. For me, it's about someone who cannot escape their past "Theres a guilty weight on my conscience, Of all my wrongful deeds." And lives with a fear of being exposed "If I try to stay the light will show my false." They know they need to change and come clean/set themselves free but are torn, and confused about how to do so. |
