| Well more specifically, this song's about her(the singer) being the perfect person and hating her own fake self. She was hurt by the fact that everyone thinks she's perfect but she knows she isn't so she was betrayed by the perfect image of herself. "have you no shame don't you see me?" she wants everyone to see the real her and not her made up image. I guess you could interpret it either way but watch the music video to it on YouTube and you'll see where I'm coming from. It's actually one of my favorite music videos :] | |

| Omg!!! Never knew this existed! I mean the "bathroom floor" and "so far" and "hard" parts are kinda obvious on a first kisten, I knew it was just background vocals accentuating what Gerard was saying, but I never heard the other parts especially "don't do it" 0.0 BTW if anyones listening to this with headphones, I found that if you pull the connector of the headphones out of the jack just a little bit, enough where it's like halfway out but still plugged in, then it cuts out the lead singers voice on every song and only let's you hear the music and background singing. That's how I was able to hear this better :) | |

I never really looked up the lyrics until now but for some reason I always thought it was really "I found a way to blur your face, to smear the words you said" Kind of like he found a way to forget and sort of let the memories of her fade? But idk. It just sounds weird to metaphorically burn someone's face and sear their words, I mean it's kind of pointless imagery compared to letting her fade away so he can forget. |

I'm pretty sure it's not either of those. Your meaning isn't right because I'm pretty sure no person would passionately try to "suck". Lol Your sisters meaning sounds more realistic but right after this he says "you're a parasitic psycho filthy creature finger banging my heart". Which makes me think of a parasite living off of someone and sucking the life out of them. So shes sucking the (figurative) life out of him. Sucking him dry. Do you see what I mean? |

This has to be the catchiest song ever!!! Especially the chorus! Everything in the chorus matches perfectly and sounds awesome; the guitar, the singing, the creepy synthesized organ sounding keyboard, and the background singing. It's just such awesome harmony. Not to mention good rhythm on the drums part...just GREAT! Can't listen to it enough :) And I think the lyrics are kinda obvious lol he likes "THAT" type of girl. |

There's a comma before I am; that implies that he probably isn't calling himself I am, he's just breaking off the sentence and moving on to another. "Hello they call me, I am Hailing a cab" As for the rest of the song, I think he's talking about a guy who's walking through the streets of a city, trying to get a cab cause it's raining. And while he's walking around he sees all the abuse going on in the buildings around him, not just physical but any abuse. I think he's also trying to say that everyone abuses everyone or has the potential to abuse someone, therefore everyone is vermin, even him. "What kind of vermin are creeping on the streets tonight It's 4AM and I am creeping on the streets tonight... I am raging lightning What kind of vermin are swimming on the streets tonight It's 4AM and I am coming for you tonight" So he witnesses the abuse and realizes that abuse is everywhere, even in him, and he decides to " save his life for something good ". The girl I think, is just another witness to the abuse and she's being comforted in the end. But yeah, it really is a mysterious song with numerous meanings. I like how he can make everyone think and feel their own special way to the song and give it their own meaning :) |
