Circa Survive – Kicking Your Crosses Down Lyrics 14 years ago
I left that comment a couple months ago, and on the week I come back to this to see if I get a reply, I did. I think that's sorta funny. A manifestation of our collective consciousness.

Circa is not out there making music just for you. They're creating art - expression. I am not a Christian, but I still love and value music from mewithoutYou, Underoath, etc. because I appreciate their passion, their emotion and their art - even if I think their message is entirely incorrect.

Why do you believe in "God"? I ask this rhetorically, as I'm not here to convert you and I don't care to get into a deep philosophical conversation. I ask, because I find that many people ardently stand behind the religion their parents imposed on them without actually thinking about why they believe it.

You mention "God" vaguely enough that you could be Jewish, Muslim, etc. It doesn't really matter which, but for this example, I will assume that you are Christian. Simple question: If you were born in Pakistan, or Iran wouldn't you most likely be Muslim? If you were born in ancient Greece, wouldn't you pray to Zeus (and their hundreds of other "gods")? You are a product of your environment. The reigning religion in any area is that which has been accepted and supported by the local governing body.

If religion works for you, that's great. Stick to whatever you enjoy - whatever makes your days more fulfilling. I'll stick to science and empirical evidence in searching for the truth.
