I think it's about death, but about someone who is dying, isn't dead yet. It's happening, and there is nothing to do about it. He's trying to accept the fact that he's going to loose this person, which is hard. He wants him or her to stay, he can't handle it. |

I don't agree, hearing the song it does sound like gray, and it makes sense to me too: the song seems to be about death and this sentence symbolizes the unclearness, the not knowing, lability. It's a mystery what's after dead. It's vague, it's gray. |

I don't think that the girl is controlling him, I think the love is controlling him. It's so strong that it dominates him, that's why he wants to destroy it. Which is hard because if you love, how can you possibly make that undone? |

I think it's about him loving a girl but he's unable to tell her.
She won't understand, so he has to repress and restrain those feelings all the time.
But he loves her so much, that this secrecy of his secret rules his entire life.

@Darlingxxx22 Why are you offended if someone thinks he's gay? Don't you think that's a bit discriminating? I don't know if he's gay or not, but I do know that if he is gay, he'd be just the same great person with the same passion and talent for music. So why does it matter so much? |
