I saw a star beneath the stairs - beneath the stairs to heaven that runs through the night sky. there are stars surrounding it everywhere. glowing through the melting walls - i think of this as like a window to a house who will be the first to begin their fall? or will we become one? - what will happen first.. will the star fall to earth or will we die and become a star of our own? am i the star beneath the stairs, am i the ghost upon the stage? - the star is shining bright, almost everyone notices it. i think the stage is heaven and a ghost is dull, invisible and hardly everr noticed. two completely different things. am i your anything? - do i hold any meaning at allll in your life? glowing bright before descent - glowing in the night sky before morning falls and washes it away and in the morning there is nothing left - the star is no longer seen but what's inside of me - the morning brings a new day, yesterday is gone. all that's left is what you carry along in your mind day to day and i don't want to die tonight - i don't want to disappear with the morning will you believe in me? - believe in my existence, my power i don't want to fall into the light - i'm not visible in light (star) will you wish upon? - like a shooting star will you walk upon me? - i will fall if all else fails haha that's just my interpretation. but everyones is different to this song! I really don't think it's religious at all though because Davey isn't religious. He thinks he's God x] Whatever is the real meaning, the song is absolutely beautiful. So pretty. |

| For some reason, I think this song is more sarcastic. I think Davey is making fun of or just expressing how people now a days would go as far as hurting themselves just to have a certain person by their side. They become so obsessed that they do everything to try to see what the person is doing at all times. How people don't cherish their own personal lives but give away everything to anyone. I just feel like Davey isn't the type of person who would write a song about his love feelings. Unless he really did change that much over the last 10 years D: | |
