"Takes your gun/shakes your hand/walks you out of the sun" is just more of the emotional imagery/allegory. Were the subject of the song to pause and question destroying the feeling (what they touched/what touched them), they'd be easily disarmed and calmly walked out of the sun to a total loss -- of the warm feeling that gave them pause, of their offensive/defensive weapon, of their sense of emotional freedom. |
