I have heard this song a million times and it still gets me every time I listen to it. This song is pretty much like John Mayer's Slow Dancing In a Burning Room; both speaks of a break up that is yet occur. I think, in this song, it talks about how this person clearly sees that the end is nearing but is still yearning to mend the relationship or whatever is left of them. It amply speaks of the hopefulness in that person to maybe give it another go.. My god! Simply written and yet so deep is the meaning of it all. This is exactly how I feel too. Pardon me if my interpretation isn't quite right but that is exactly how I feel about this song! Needless to say, I am in the same exact situation. I wish you knew *my love* .. I only wish you knew how much I want to fix our relationship but the only problem is.. you screwed up! :( |
