I think this song is the embodiment of this sort of self realization a lot of people have at certain pivotal moments in their life where they decide to move on. Then in retrospect, they realize how much their previous association fucked with their life. Bad habits, bad attitudes, bad thinking. All of it. |

I completely agree salyu. Every time I listen to this song while I'm at work it helps remind me that I'm not perfect and I'm doing the best I can every day. The chorus is fantastic in this song aghhhhh! :) |

So "Medellia" is pronounced (MEH-DEE-UH) in the song I think. I was watching X-Files of all things the other day and "Medea", a woman from a Greek myth was mentioned. So I looked her up on wiki. Apparently, she helped a hero named Jason complete all of these ridiculous tasks that would have risked his and her own life, including killing her own brother and supposedly scattering his body parts all over the place so that she was able to safely escape her home with Jason in order to marry him.
I think that Corgan could possibly be paying homage to her and any woman that is akin to her. Any romantic man dreams of a woman that would go to such lengths to be with him. Pretty interesting. Anyhow, I had a shirt made with lyrics from this song on it and a woman's face. This song has a big impact on my life. Thanks Billy. |

I'm pretty sure this song is about unrequited love of some kind. . . or she's in love with a man and they're in a relationship, but she's fearful that he's being unfaithful. That's the impression I have anyway. |
