just a thought... the last part of the song is about a wedding... 1. tea for two 2. sky was yellow sun was blue in reference to a sunset ceremony? 3. strangers stoppin' strangers just to shake THEIR hands. 4... heart of gold band, heart of gold band. He found love and she shot him down because he chose drugs... this wasn't the first time he had missed out on finding love because of an addiction. The "poker reference" was that she chose not to partake in drugs and her face expressed she wasn't at all cool with it. ??? The line "seldom turns out the way it does in a song" is really "in the song". one of my favorite songs!!! |
