| FKA Twigs – In Time Lyrics | 6 years ago |

I read this with the outlook of being a raver. This is a story about a drug fueled relationship that starts out lustful and full of life, but the guy just keeps partying and not wanting to commit. She keeps on trying to hold onto him, hoping that in time he'll finally treat her right, she'll be his girlfriend in the real world (in the light). But when she tries to hold him down he just fights and gets more distant. She just keeps partying with him, hoping that he'll finally want her one day. He gets more distant, hating that she doesn't want to just party and not be serious, and she just keeps going out hoping to make him change. In the club, in the rave. I still feel the same. She repeats this over and over frantically, it shows how much this is ruining her state of mind, but she just keeps on fighting with him and being who he wants her to be. |

| She Wants Revenge – Tear You Apart Lyrics | 11 years ago |

This song isn't about a weird guy with a dark side, and it's not about rape and murder. The entire song is about an the awkwardness of human sexuality, and the way we have to figure things our for ourselves. Finding the words and to describe the emotions, finding the sense in touch. Everything is hard in the beginning, and this song describes the initial confusion of first lust. |

| Daughter – Medicine Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The song is sung from the standpoint of a friend, or person close to the subject. The subject moved away from home, and slowly lost track of who they were, and lost the path of who they wanted to be. The singer is reassuring the subject that it's just the environment and outside influence (medicine) that is causing this loss of self. The singer advises the friend to go home to escape the bitterness of the world that plagues the subject, stating that they can still be who they once aspired, because they have the heart and brain to overcome the irrelevant opinions of the ones who are holding the subject back. | |

| Telefon Tel Aviv – Bubble and Spike Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I always heard it as "Life is beautiful; Smile!" "I can't see it that way" As if someone was telling them to feel better about their life, or to feel better about the day, but they just couldn't bring themselves to see anything but darkness and sadness. Since Charles Cooper killed himself, I think it's safe to assume that this was a very emotionally driven song for him. You can feel his pain throughout the track, laced in every layer. This whole album really had a very dark ambiance to it. |
