This song is totally for Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, and Synyster Gates did a marvelous job with it. Anyone that says this song sucks, should go through the same thing as Synyster Gates did, and feel the exact same pain that he felt. Gone but never forgotten, Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan. |

I think this song is definitely about hell. "Dragged ya down below, Down to the Devils show To be his guest forever (Peace of mind is less than never)" This is about a guy who dies, and is being sentenced to hell forever, which is the Devil's show. "Hate to twist your mind But god ain't on your side An old aquaintance and severed (Burn the world your last endeavour)" This proves that this guy who dies is in hell, as God, who is the old aquaintance, ain't helping him anymore, so he severed all ties with the guy, which led him to hell. "Flesh is burning you can smell it in the air Cause men like you have such an easy soul to steal (Steal) So stand in line while they ink numbers in your head Your now a slave untill the end of time here Nothing stops the madness turning haunting yearning pull the trigger" This briefly describes the scene in hell, where flesh is burning and they ink numbers into head, total madness. In the bible, the slaves of Satan gets numbers inked into their heads, and most lightly, the numbers are 666. "You should have known, the price of evil and it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah ooohhhh its your fucking nightmare" The guy thinks back, and realise he is in hell because of all the wrong things he had done in his life, and going to hell was really just paying the price for his evil deeds, and for that, he belongs there. And being in hell was the nightmare. "Can't wake up in sweat cause it ain't over yet Still dancing with your deamons (Victim of your own creation) Beyond the will to fight where all that's wrong is right Where hate don't need a reason (loathing self-assassination)" He wants this to end, but it could not which means he can't wake up in sweat, aand there's nothing he could do about it, as he was Satan's alve until the end of time. In hell, there would not be any emotions like love, there's only going to be hate. "You’ve been lied to just to rape you of your sight and now they have the nerve to tell you how to feel, So sedated as they medicate your brain and while you slowly go insane they tell you, Given with the best intentions, help you with your complications!" This also briefly describes the scene in hell, where all the torturing and pain begins and so when he could not take it anymore, he will slowly turn insane from all the hatred and pain. "You should have known, the price of evil and it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah No one to call Everybody to fear Your tragic fate is looking so clear, yeah ooohhhh its your fucking nightmare" There is no one he could rely on, and on top of that, everybody is gonna hate him, cause in hell there will only be the emotions of fear and hate, and nothing else. And that will be his fate forever. "Fight! (Fight) Not to fail, (Fail) Not to fall, (Fall) Or you’ll end up like the others!" As there will only be hate, and all the wrong doings in hell, there will be fights, and he will have to fight forever and ever, in a sense of torture, if u win, u'll have to fight someone else, if u lose, ur dead. Sooner or later, everyone's gonna kill themselves, as if u die in hell, you'll just get revived again, and you have to repeat the cycle. "Die! (Die) Die again, (Die) Drenched in sin, (Sin) With no respect for another!" In hell, like I said, if you die, you'll just revive and you have to go through all the suffering once again. There will be no love and respect, and there will only be hate. "Down (Down) Feel the fire (Fire) Feel the hate (Hate) Your pain is what we desire" Down to hell and feel the fire and hate. There's no such thing as respect in hell. "Lost (Lost) Hit the wall (Wall) Watch ya crawl (Crawl) Such a replaceable liar" Lost, could be both meanings, either lost in the dark, or lost in a fight. He could hit the wall because he could not see, or cos when he lost the fight, he got slammed into the wall. He tries to crawl out of the suffering, and he is a replacable liar, because he could be replaced by another person, as everyone in hell lies. "And I know you hear their voices (Calling from above), And I know they may seem real (These signals of love), But a life made up of choices (Some without appeal), They took for granted your soul and it’s ours now to steal!" Th voices are referring to the ppl who made it to heaven, that's why its from above. They seem real to the people in hell, as they are desperate to escape from all the pain till a point where they are all insane. They want to go up to heaven and enjoy life, but they could not, because in their life, they made the wrong decision to sin, and so they have to go to hell. When the person died, they took him as an example, and so that prevented other people from going to hell, they took him as a bad example, to warn ppl warn ppl not to live like him, or you'll end up in hell, which explains th part which says "They took for granted your soul, and its ours now to steal.'
