ok so i just watched the video and i think that it is about this guy who has rapped these girls and the main girl sees it happening to another girl and she's scared for her but she goes to some lady and she gives her a voodoo doll of the guy and she fucking kills the bastard. if only voodoo dolls were real, i'd fucking torment every last person who has ever abused or rapped someone. gahhhh i hate people so damn much |

definitely possible but since they are fairly new (at least for all i know) they had to figure out what sort of band they want to be and what type of lyrics to write and if they all (or maybe just the lead vocalist) likes fallout boy then yeah he would rewrite their songs in order to become more like them and he would take their lyrics and reword them almost 100%.

I agree with each of th interpretations 100%! I love this site so much man...but TFT is amazing! scarredroses...if you like that type of music I think you would like the classic crime as well...they ARE THE MOST AMAZING BAND EVER!!!!( in my opinion that is) but yeah like their songs aren't all about love and stuff but give you room to interpret them in soooo many ways!! Hit me up if you wanna know some more bands! |

I really like your interpretation of it...it gave me a new way to look at this amazing song...and I was once so depressed that I just didn't see any other way out and I was well too close to just ending my life that night but I obviously didn't but every song like this (like in your interpretation) basically gives me another sense of hope and faith that I am loved by people and I am wanted around...just thought I'd say thank you for givin me another way to look at it |

(NOTE THAT I SAY THESE THINGS IN A MUSICIAN POINT OF VIEW AND THAT I KNOW HOW MOST SONG WRITERS TRY TO WRITE THEIR SONGS...i.e. most all songs are written in a way so that everyone who listens to it can possibly relate to it. the song doesn't mention anything that is too specific too make someone say "well that doesnt apply to me!) in my opinion...this song can come off to well anyone in many ways. to me, this song first came off as 2 completely different things. 1. A spiritual type meaning. we all get so far from God (well those who believe in the TRUTH that is..) It is a horrible feeling to be away from God and that it gives enough inspiration to actually write about just that. to be close to Him, well everything is GREAT. but to be away, even just turned around, feels miserable once the good times have come and gone.
the second way i interpreted this that it could be about a girl. he feels that he has gotten separated from his girl at heart and emotionally and well i am sure we all know how that feels and when we are truly in love with each other and we know it but one gets even a little emotionally detached, it kills inside.
