I heard the oldest versions of this were done by both a man and a woman. Everytime he offered her an impossible task, she returned the favor, all the way through the song. It is about saying goodbye without breaking up. It is the original version of "Niether one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye" Just a thought. I do love it though. |
