Rick wrote this song based on his experiance. He said that when he was younger he didn't really commit to anything especially girlfriends. He's basically saying if you're too open minded you could end up losing the best thing in life then when you realize it its too late so you make it your last stand to try to get them back. |

I read that a band member wrote this song for his mother who died from cancer. But it could also be about someone who has always been there for you and they always mend your "broken bones." The song reminds me of my mom because she raised me and my sister by herself. Then she met her current boyfreind and he treats me like dirt but she always reassures me that we won't be with him too much longer thus mending my "broken bones" |
