| Mute Math – You Are Mine Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| bl4cksp4de, we're not bitter. It's just ridiculous to think that because the bandmates are christian they only write songs about 'God'! Or do you think the singer has/will never been in love with another human, because he believes in a god? I think it's you whose bitter, as you assume you can only love one thing at the time. | |

I don't want to sound like an ass, but it's kinda hard to take someone who types like you seriously... Well never mind. Who am I to tell you this, after you posted this in 2008 and I'm replying in 2011. |

That's a nice theory.. too bad he didn't write the bass line. Rick James did. So the only thing he did is invent 'can't touch this'. |

| John Lennon – Imagine Lyrics | 15 years ago |

He wasn't the epitome of a pacifist. He was a good man, a true poet, but even he had his flaws. He sometimes hit his first wife Cynthia. Nonetheless we love him and the song, because it's as it should be. John was a quite cynical man, he had a great sense of humor, and if you say you 'scheisse' doesn't know anything about Lennon, then you should know that John used to be ironic. And of course he wanted everybody to be happy, but it's just not that simple. |

It's 'that's enough love for me' not 'that's another for me'. So some of the stated lyrics were right. |

| The Killers – Somebody Told Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It doesn't have to be autobiographical, maybe he's just singing the song, not meaning he is straight. The singer might as well be gay, or bi, possibly. So his engagement doesn't mean much. | |
| Maxïmo Park – Postcard of a Painting Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
'Picture me with you, but you couldn't do it. Everything i said, was true but i couldn't prove it.' I really love that part. I love the whole song, and to me it sounds like he's got into a semi-relationship, where he is actually in love with her. She however is embarrassed [or possibly already has a relationship, but I think the first thing] and doesn't want others to know. 'Why can't we say goodbye in public..,' He is hurt, but loves her too much so, frustrated he writes down his feelings and sends the postcard of a painting to her. 'And i'll admit that there's a web, but it wasn't me who spun it' sounds like she's accusing him, and he says it's not his fault he fell in love, and that they're in this situation [she obviously thinks he's not good enough or that he did something wrong, but he doesn't understand why she's making this fuss.] Somehow I think she really was into him at the beginning of the relationship, and then, when it became serious, she started having doubts and feeling embarrassment. 'Now i made my bed, but you wouldn't lie down in it. ' is what he says, stating that when he was ready, she didn't want him anymore and now he's stuck. I really can refer to this song in some ways. Me being the person who sings this, sadly. It wasn't as bad as this though, but still it hurts. But I still love this song. (: |

| Sex Pistols – God Save the Queen Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I remember when I was eight years old and I heard this song for the first time. After school I used to go to the kids' playground, and that day I wanted to show my friends who the Sex Pistols were, so I started jumping up and down on a bench, shouting 'GOD SAVE THE QUEEN' and playing air guitar. First, the kids at the playground looked at me as if I was a crazy maniac, then they started playing air guitar too. I miss that day. |
