I checked out an interview the Finn Brothers gave about the song; here it is: "Track 1 is Won’t Give In. The song talks about ‘Everyone you love’ being here… Neil Finn: The line Everyone I love is here was kind of in my mind about the commitments you make to people with the witnesses of your friends and your family and I guess it’s not solely a marriage we’re talking about but the kind of idea that you’ve got a whole lot of people who watch you as you make your declarations in life and it doesn’t happen that often for us, we’re pretty private, New Zealanders, and it’s nice. I think the song’s got a sense of ritual about it in that sense. It’s about a declaration, I suppose, and unafraid to be sentimental, and it just felt like now we were talking, the song needed to be in relation to the way families exist together and they pass on from one generation to the next because we’re right in the middle of it at the moment.
