| I like this song. (: And I love this album's humor. The meaning in this one is quite clear though..so I wont bother explaining. | |

| Black Veil Brides – The Mortician's Daughter Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Seeing as no one stated their actual interpretation of the song (although i think it is quite frank, although some critical thought is needed..) I will. So here's what i think of it, take it or leave it. I open my lungs dear I sing this song at funerals...no rush. These lyrics heard a thousand times, just plush. A baby boy you've held so tightly, this pain it visits almost nightly Missing hotel beds I feel your touch. (First line is just saying he's singing, next is referencing that she is a mortician's daughter. He's sang this to her many times. A "baby boy" I think refers to him..As you all said he was a teen when he wrote this perhaps he just said it as that..unless they had a kid? But I think he means himself, and he feels pain of missing her while he's gone-as later said in the song. "missing hotel beds" perhaps they had times in hotel rooms, and now that he is in one he "feels" her touch as of by the memory) I will wait dear, a patient of eternity, my crush A universal still. No rust. No dust will ever grow in this frame, one million years I will say your name. I love you more than I can ever scream. (He'll wait for her forever. Their love will never grow old. He'll love her forever.) We booked our flight those years ago, I said I love you as I left you. Regrets still haunt my hollow head, but I promised you I will see you again, again. (This, I see it as, they both "booked a flight" and traveled somewhere different from each other. Perhaps to visit family or something. Or it could be in the metaphorical sense, that perhaps they took a break from the relationship or something happened that they had to stop seeing each other for some time. But he said they would see each other again someday, and plans to keep that promise. he regrets all this however.) I sit here and smile dear I smile because I think of you and blush. These bleeding hollow dials...this fuss. A fuss is made of miles and travels when roadways are but stones and gravel. A bleeding heart and conquer every crutch. (He's thinking of her...dunno about the third line..this whole verse is a bit hard to interpret.Perhaps dials as in phone dials? Afraid to call her? I think the last two lines are saying the distance (whether this be literally or metaphorically) is always..hard? but someone who misses their love will overcome this) We booked our flight those years ago you said you loved me as you left me. Regrets still haunt your saddened head but I promised you I will see you, We booked our flight those years ago I said I loved you and I left you Regrets no longer in my head, I promised you and now I'm home again, again, again, again, again. (Same thing as verse 3 but from her perspective. And now they've come back together) I'm home again. I sort of see this as being more on the symbolic/metaphorical side but I'm a new fan to them so I don't really know if he typically uses symbols or the such. So perhaps I'm wrong and he is being literal. (although that would be sort of a disappointment..) |

| Falling In Reverse – Listen Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I definitely don't think this is about some girl...and that's it's obviously about Max Green. Esp. here: Listen up to the ones you trust Just a few by your side (Your side) Give in, everything's going to be alright (Here we go the ones who make time) Now it's time for me to go I know, You know, The fights are getting old I think this is one of Ronnie's hidden, analytical, meanings that let's out just enough to show what he's really talking about but hides enough to not say it blatantly. So it sounds like it's about a girl..but really it's not. Just my take on it though, could be very well wrong and it could be about a cheater. (but when has Ronnie ever been that blunt?) |

I agree with all of your interpretations.. they went a lot deeper, and I feel, hit the meaning a lot harder then the others as it's taken in a more metaphorical sense than literal. (i.e-We traced our veins (we bled for days)isn't actually about them cutting.) |

| Escape the Fate – When I Go Out, I Want To Go Out On A Chariot Of Fire Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I agree with mostly everyone ideas on here but wanted to add one little thing... I think that He had a plan to kill you all along, relates to both God and the driver and the God part is sort of confirmed by this line Hallelujah, woah, So just believe in me, I'll Never let you down, Hallelujah is generally used to praise God, and the p.o.v changes here..he's not saying so just believe in "me" (as in Ronnie) but God. If you believe in God, he'll never let you down, but the girl died when she did do everything right and all that and God seemed to have "let her down." I pretty much agree with most of the other explanations though. And yeah, ETF kicks ASS. Can't wait till Fallin in Reverse finally comes out. (when Ronnie gets out..) |
