i totally agree. back in the day big hair, hair spray, piercings, tattoos, bright clothes would be exhibited to express individuality. nowadays, everyone's doin it, turning it into a scene; a silly fad. it's pretty bad when I feel like an outcast for Not having any tatoos or piercings or color in my hair. all i know is it's 2010 and there's shows like 16 & pregnant on TV. We don't live in the same world. and, to me... the concept of fashion is the one to blame |

and not to be a hater, but i read over some of the comments and replies, and i have to say girls can wear skinny jeans. guys can wear form fitting jeans, this skinny jeans fad has got to go. when i see skinny dudes wearing skinny jeans, all i think of is "this kid would get beat up easily, him and his 110 lbs." not cool in my opinion. i know fashion is fashion and we're all entitled to our own sense of style, but if you're a guy, seriously, doctor's recommend boxers over tighty whiteys to help prevent low sperm count. imagine what those tight pants are doing to your balls guy! but like is said, it's all fashion, i know those jeans go well with fly shoes. i'm not gonna hate, but i wouldn't be caught dead wearing them. |

I love this song, love the guitar, the lyrics, the overall message, and the beginning line is so true. Sorta makes me feel like crap for caring how I dress or watching MTV. Makes me feel like most things pop-culture is aimed at sin. BTW I'm a little curious how TDWP gets away with calling this christian music. I know they have good, positive lyrics and the members are all christians, great. But I've heard people say rock is the devil's music (I don't believe it is). Yet, the angry screaming and the low pitched devil-like growls get me thinking that I wouldn't get away with playing this in church. Still, I love christian rock bands like TDWP FLYLEAF!!! and Attack Attack. |

This is my jam right here. I can listen to this over and over. Such an honest song. I think Em is talking about how lately he hasn't fit the mold of the gimmick the rap game has turned into. "But all these other rappers suck is all that I know"- I interpret this line to call out all the Soulja Boys and "Get Silly" guys and Gucci Mane ice rap goin around. I admit, that sort of music is great in the club, keep it there. I'm glad there is still rap coming out with a message. I believe the overall meaning relays that he listened to encore and relapse and was like "WTF? where's Criminal? Stan? Marshal Matthers? Lose Yourself? The Real Slim Shady? Where's the hits?" That's what is was thinking, Old Time's Sake was the only song I could listen to on Relapse, that and 3 AM, still those don't come close to the tracks on his first couple albums. He felt he was being ignored, making songs no one was listening to. I put Eminem up there with 2Pac, Jay Z, Gangstarr, and Dead Prez. Great lyricist, Badass new album. BTW who is KOBE? Everytime I hear this song I imagine Kobe Bryant singing and it makes me laugh. I heard it's an R&B artist named KOBE, but I've never heard of him |

I hated this song when it 1st came out, only cause it was CONSTANTLY played on the radio and at my school dances, just EVERYWHERE I would hear it!! But lately I was watching FUSE Eminem Takeover and they showed the video to this. I listened closely to every line and I have to say Em killed the ENTIRE SONG. My favorite lines:
Success is my only mothafuckin option, failure's not!!!!!!!!
Mom, I love you, but this trail has got to go
I cannot grow old in Salem's lot.
Whenever I feel stuck I think of that, it just inspires me to persevere. Recovery is sick too |
