OK.... this song is about war but read the lyrics and the name of the song... before the album that this song was on iron maiden done an OZZfest and they had problems with sharon osbourne... and becuase the osbourne family were living in britain as theu were from birmingham / south london (wife) e.t.c. they moved to the US so this song was written about them " These colours dont run " saying we (iron maiden) being british with the Red/White/Blue colours of the union jack still live in the United Kingdom and havent sold out to go to another country i.e. USA to live and to mask the lyrics "in directly" they added war theme in to it!! this was told to me by a positive source!!!
