Yes, to me this is the best interpretation. she took caution when it came to love (she says it) and then said "You were strong, but I was not" which points to the fact that she wasn't completely in the relationship. i expect that they probably had an argument about it in some point in their relationship, and they split. A guy won't stick around for a girl that doesn't care about it so much, hence "You have gone and so effortlessly". "You have won" the argument - directed at the guy. when she says "impossible", it's pointing to the fact that the feelings that she's feeling should be impossible, since that was what the point of "take caution when it comes to love" was all about. it's what "she hoped would be impossible". irony, irony. haha catchy song :) |
