| I believe this song is very open to each one's own interpretation.. I think the base interpretation is about temptations. However I think it can be easily adapted for many situations. For me, I think it strikes on forgiveness and not holding a grudge. | |

At first, I thought that his mom had died, and he was committing suicide... I did a little more looking and found out about it being an apology and tribute and I totally see it now. In both ways it made me tear up. A beautiful song, I am highly impressed by the way he was able to rap about such deep emotions and experiences. He is truly gifted. I hope to hear more like this, and the unnecessarily explicit songs he has don't really appeal to me. |

Recently the relationship i was in came to an end. We work together, and are going to try to stay friends. Today, when she came to work, she had this song playing on her phone. Later that night, i listened to it on my way home. The specific details about the situation are excessively complicated. I knew there was a chance that things wouldnt work out when we got involved, but i would rather try for someone i care about than waste time for someone else, and thats what i did. She likes to listen to music that relates to how she is feeling, as does myself, something i assume is common. When she had this playing, it reminded me of a few weeks prior, when this song was on the radio, i literally changed the channel and punched my truck door(i was working on my truck at the time) because things had already turned up that showed that we might not last much longer, and this song reminded me of that fact. The fact that just 2 days after we were done, she comes in, listening to this song made me think a lot. I was listening to the song tonight, and it makes me realize how much some relationships can hurt people. I knew what iw as getting into when we started, and though it hurts a lot to lose someone so great, i will be alright, I just hope that she will be as well. I feel like i have done more harm than help, and feel like shit over it. This song reminds me a lot of our relationship, and now, more than ever, when I hear it, i will think of her. The deep bass note that hits after they say "sang the whiskey lullaby", and a few other times litterally gave me the chills. I have a set of 500W speakers, not subs, but in my truck they give a nice bass, and when it hits that note, i just want to cry, it is very moving. I tried listening to this song on the computer, but it doesnt have the same effect. If you have a chance to listen to this song in a car with decent bass, do so, it is intense. And i apologize to any redundancy or bad grammar in this post, but i have had a few glasses of diet coke and whiskey prior to writing this. |

Knowing what 90% of Korn's songs are about, i am inclined to assume it is something about sex. However, what i got from this song, and is corroborated by the fact that a lot of people say they dont like the song - since it isnt like their other shit, is that it is about a person who is not well understood by the people in their crowd. They find comfort in music. The parts with vibrations and between legs clearly are implying something, but i think the song has some deeper meaning, especially when the chorus is "no one understands you, but music do, music do, [...]" Just a theory, but most likely not to be a popular one. Thanks for hearing me out though. |

| Josh Groban – Weeping Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| One other thing that came to me after posting my main comment, the lines "They stood around, outside the wall; but of course, there was nothing to be heard at all." May imply that the people knew a bit about what was going on, and knew that it was not something dangerous, or unwilling to compromise, but rather something that could be resolved. In addition, it could be implying that the people were offering their help. This applied to life as: You should be forgiving, and understand when people repress things, that their anger is not actually addressed to you, but rather their fear. You should help them despite how they may have treated you. | |

My interpretation of the song: The narrator has some problem that he is unwilling to face, he misinterprets as something that he cant control, something that just needs shoved out rather than dealt with. Because of this, he uses brute strength and excess defenses and hides it away. This actually occurs within himself, so essentially he is acting like something he is not. As time goes on, it becomes more apparent that he made a mistake and this unsettles him; this causes him to let down his guard a bit, drawing the attention of others, questioning what he is hiding. This angers him because he is still unwilling to face it, so he just says, as long as everything works, why question it, and refuses to answer people's questions. What this means: You should never try to simply bury problems, but rather, approach them and correct them. Furthermore, listen to the people around you. If they tell you there is a problem or ask a question, look, into it, don't simply discount anyone else's opinion just because you are unwilling to accept the truth. |
