| I completely agree with your interpretation. In fact the only reason I looked up the lyrics was because I have a high school reunion coming up and the song reminded me of going back (I moved away and never went back) there to see old friends. Reigniting old memories, remembering who I was back then. The song fit the mold of my reunion thoughts at the time and this fits with your interpretation as well. You can't ignore the Japanese references either of course, but we can give these guys credit for having layered meanings in their songs. The video supports this interpretation as you mention. | |
