Beau Bokan has recently been engaged to his gf, Lights. They are both musicians and often away for "40 days" with touring, etc.. Its a love song from him to her, using lyrics from one of her songs "And Counting". "When I fall Asleep I feel you with me, until I fall asleep and you are with me" "I’ve never written an actual love song before, but after meeting the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with, it came very naturally. In fact, I took a line from a song she wrote for me and used it in this song. It was a first for both of us! It gets pretty detailed and pretty specific. The voicemail in "God Wears Gucci" is to him when he was in the middle of touring and he was writing a love song to her, received that voicemail and gave her the fuck you, hence the lyrics to "Hey baby, here's that song you wanted" | |
