| Michael Bublé – Feeling Good Lyrics

For me, this song is very sexy. The singer is very smug about why he/she feels good, he addresses inanimate objects, such as pine trees, rivers and stars and tells them they know he/she feels good, almost tauntingly as if it's a big secret that he or she isn't supposed to tell, which makes me come to the conclusion that the singer has just gotten laid, feels smug and wants the world to know about it! |

| Billy Joel – She's Always A Woman Lyrics

It's common knowledge He's singing about his first wife Elizabeth. She was his manager and therefore had to be quite hard-nosed and business like, which made many people think of her as masculine. But he loved her and was grateful even if she wasn't always fitting a feminine stereotype, she was "always a woman" in his eyes. |

Amazing song. The fact that it's not angry or aggressive, it's got a calm and resolute tone to it. He isn't bitter and he doesn't belittle his ex, he's already moving on. the singer is absolutely confidant that he'll be fine and the person who left him will be the one who'll always regret their actions makes it so empowering and inspiring. |

I think this song is about someone who has fallen in love with a woman who is somewhat mysterious and has a bit of a front - "inside her shell" "No-one's allowed to see them when they cry" and he is intrigued by her.
The first few verses are him weighing up the pros and cons - she could be bad for him, leave him emotionally scarred, but she could also be the best thing in his life - There is no way for him to be sure and the front she has on makes it difficult for him to work her out. He realises there are emotional risks for him to become involved with her despite how special he thinks she is.
The last verse I think shows his decision - He's decided that she could be the one , "The reason I survive" and the love of his life, and that she's worth the risk. He loves her despite the fact she has a front and he is willing to be there for her "laughter and tears" and make them his "souvenirs" (I.e. treasure every moment, even if it isn't happy) Very beautiful optimistic song and one I think many people could relate to. |
