IF you watch the vid, it's obviously about addiction the song is like a kinda in your face , dare. kinda like ' what? you found out i was on drugs, so now you don't want anything to do with me?' he's angry cause his gf or whatever found out about his drug addiction and she didn't want anything to do with him after that , and now he's sitting there thinking , with all this time on his hands, cause now he has no gf, no job. so he's just alone with the drugs, and it's like he's talking to the drugs' i've got this time on my hands, you are the one to abuse' Meth would def explain that |

y'all are missing an important part of the lyrics 'She don't know no lovers/none that i've ever seen/ And to her that means nothing, but to me that means/means everything' The song is about a guy who's in love with a girl and slowly watching her go through the bull shit her family puts her through, and drug addiction. He wants to help her but he doesn't know how, so he's just there for her as a friend , watching her slowly kill herself with the drugs, wishing he could make it better for her. Now the phrase 'she talks to angels' could be a hint at the type of drug she's using. Aka Angel Dust...aka PCP...which causes hallucinations ...therefore....'she talks to angels' The hair from the little boy could be her brother/her kid/ an old friend. though more likely brother/kid. either way someone young who died, and she keeps the hair as a sort of memorial type thing. There's irony because of the cross around her neck, I think it means she wants to be saved but can't stop herself, so keeps going the downward spiral. 'She paints her eyes as black as night now/she pulls those shades down tight' I think this means that she's giving up on fight it , giving in to the addiction oh yeah there's a smile when the pain comes/ pains gonna make everything all right' and here she's actually takin the drugs. i get a picture in my head of a needle in her arm. but idk. those are my ideas =) |
