I beleive this song is about a Some kind of confession...confession by the writers loved one [probly his girl ]...the confession thats pushing the writer to depression. Theres nothing you can say Nothing you can do Theres nothing in between You know the truth................the confession part What you want What you lost What you had What is gone is over ...........................this being a part of his girls past...what she had is now over ..she has him [the writer] now What you got What you love What you need What you have is real ...[ this is what the writer feels..that his girl loves him ..he loves her dear too ] and thats causing the depression . the fact that they are together and in love but there seems to be a BIG HOLE and here comes the regret...
