This song completely describes what I was going through a few years ago. My parents were fighting all the time and on the edge of divorce and the girl I really wanted to date was using me for her own benefit. Through it all I would be so happy when the weekend arrived so I could get away from my problems for awhile and just enjoy spending time with friends. My parents never did understand why I would be out so late because I just didn't have the heart to tell them they were the cause. |

I saw him in concert and he said when he moved out to California he plugged in the answering machine he had and there was a message from his ex and the song is about all of the feelings that came to him while he was listening to the message. Love the song |
