I'm not sure, but this is what it sounds like what it's about to me: He broke up with his girlfriend for the reason seeming to be that she was holding him back, but he's still missing her, he still likes her. So, to get away from this feeling, he leaves to California to try and forget about it. And when he gets there, he starts having a good time, a lot of fun, doing whatever he does. But he realizes that he's spending a lot of his time there, but doesn't want to leave until his girlfriend decides to "get off her ass", and stop holding him back. Once she does this, he would return and wouldn't "waste away" in California. But, he realizes she isn't going to change, and that he's having a better time in California, so he stays there. I don't know for sure though at all -.- Just what I interpreted, yaknow?=/ |
