I think you are all being ridiculous. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE TWILIGHT/WEREWOLF/SUPERNATURAL RELATED. At all. Clearly, pop culture is making the world stupid. It's about being innocent and vulnerable. She's innocent and young; alive = lively, fresh, new. And she wants to be bad and dark and sinister. "I'm alive" ---> "You make me wanna die". Metaphor. "I'm young, I'm fresh, I'm innocent, I'm new and you make me wanna be bad, dark, and dangerous, but I'm not. I would do anything to be like you and to be with you, but everything you love about me will burn up in the light if I change. If I become bad, I will lose everything you love about me."
