The Walkmen – Love Is Luck Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The line you have questions marks around is The slaughtered lamb He's gonna stay that way |
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Into Your Alien Arms Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Boy, porkstale. I really struggled figuring out the lyrics to this album when it came out this year. Such great lines -- and I love Alec's voice and singing style, but the way he mumbles so quickly through certains words, it would be great if the band issued lyrics with their albums. I've been looking at different songs you figured out from "Hysterical" and you did a great job. |
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Ketamine and Ecstasy Lyrics | 12 years ago |
On another listen I think 2nd line is "while a university rises" 4th and 5th line above should be "Deaf and muted/scenes that I would have to do" And the verse that starts with "Running around" I think is "Mornings arises..." |
Middle Brother – Blue Eyes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
My hearing of the lyrics is below. Mostly close with a few small variations, but one clarification of the line questioned with the assumption a word is albatross The line is. She's a Southern girl without a drawl My take on the whole song: Blue eyes are turning green Mine have always been that way A soft kiss is a hard goodbye Been knocked out since yesterday A black eye ain’t no blue heart And a blue heart ain’t your soft kiss Don’t get me started by holding your hand Just send my ass to a hospital again I’ve been looking for sometime In a roomful of pennies for my dime It ain’t easy to find A girl like you to be mine Just a look at you made my heart skip And a think of you does jumping jacks I told myself that you’re the one And I told myself that I could get you back When I came back you still weren’t mine Then I left again and you still weren’t mine I’m back again so just be mine I am so tired of running I’ve been looking for sometime In a world full of numbers for my prime It ain’t easy to find A girl like you to be mine She’s a southern girl without a drawl She’s a good girl who wears my black bras Only one who can make me crawl But she’s too sweet to force me Got a hard hand, but not on her I got a foul mouth that she never heard Hear her sing just like a bird She’ll write a song about me I’ve been looking for some time In a world full of pennies for my dime It ain’t easy to find A girl like you to be mine |
The Black Keys – Thickfreakness Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I'm not sure if the the second line you mean the continuation of that opener I think he just sings: Her I am, Here I am my darling Repeating the Here I am a second time, but he noes a little bit of a growl/scat before he gets into that second "Here I am" |
Dr. Dog – My Friend Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The lyric is not: like he might not forget by the morning But rather: like a nightmare forgot by the morning |
