Nice write up flasportsfan. Some of the shit he says either just makes no sense whatsoever or maybe it's just way too metaphorically cryptic for me to understand. You did a pretty good job of figuring it out. Just to add to the end I rock my simulated air tank bit So I can leave pressures of oxygen where my mic's lit I'm just a pigeon I think he's just saying something along the lines of he's suffocating in the ghetto and rap is an escape. I rock my simulated air tank bit So I can leave pressures of oxygen where my mic's lit - Could be seen as "I'm giving my last show of glory by using this oxygen tank(the mic/album/song) and leaving traces(pressures of oxygen) of hope before "I'm just a pigeon" - he returns to the suffocation of the ghetto. The whole oxygen/suffocation idea could fit in with the name Vast Aire as well I suppose, like his fellow rapper is a breath of fresh air in a world/rap scene deprived of freshness. I don't know lol...shit's too deep. It would be cool if Cannibal Ox could give explanations to some of their lyrics one day, but it would probably never happen, just like their supposed next album... |
