I don't know why everbody's trashing Limp. I mean, I don't like any of there music, but they did a surprisingly good job on this song. And about taking out the solo, they had to make it there's somehow; they did the Who's rythm or whatever. So, I approve of it. To me the song is kind of sad and melancholy and kind of lonely. He doesn't have any family; he's confessing himself til his sleeves are stained red. It just makes me feel like he's depressed and I think that OneRepublic did a great job making the music kind of connect with the listener (me at the very least). PotterHead96 |

There has been a lot of debate about this, but I think he says "Something that will light those years". To me that's what it sounds like and the only thing that makes sense. Also, Tots23, I think you're completely wrong. I think the song is about a man who has no family who has had to lie for years and just wants to stop. Just wants to get all of his secrets off his chest. Wants to tell them all and make people stop thinking that he's lying or insincere. Just my two cents, anyways. PotterHead96 |
