The World/Inferno Friendship Society – Go With it Girl Lyrics 15 years ago
After further listening, I think this song is actually a pro-feminism song touching on the problems with assumptions. The most notable point is that some see the roles as black and white, even from some feminist perspectives, such as a feminist woman should work to prove she's feminist. The "go with it" girl's perspective is that she should choose to do what she wants. A feminist could work or be a home-maker; what's important is that she has a choice. Pressure to work is a problem, too.

I can't get a good read on this song, but it seems to be about a general camaraderie among members of the modern bohemian culture.

Pretty straightforward song. Guy and girl meet at a party, sleep with one another. Afterwords, the guy gets jealous of the girl talking with other men, figures she's loose so he starts a fight to 'win her back.' Turns out she was sincere with him and was simply chatting with another guy. He offers to try and patch things up, but she gives up on him.

The World/Inferno Friendship Society – Brother of the Mayor of Bridgewater Lyrics 15 years ago
I disagree. I think it would more disrespectful to the band to listen to the songs without actually hearing what they're saying.

This song seems to be about someone the singer idolized as a youth. Not necessarily a perfect person, but someone who represented what the singer wanted to be. As the singer matured, he became more like his idol. However, the singer has his own causes and motivations, although his perspective and methods have been somewhat shaped by the idol. In his maturity, the idol is either no longer alive or no longer held on the pedestal he once was. Brother to the Mayor of Bridgewater is an homage to the idol.

"It seems like a crime to try interpreting World/Inferno lyrics. I won't try it."

Actually, this song seems quite clear. Two people in a relationship fight a lot with one another, enjoy drugs and violent, loud nights. They realize that their relationship is worth salvaging, so they cut out all the stress, but keep the violent, loud nights, because that's who they are.

Reel Big Fish – A-W-E-S-O-M-E Lyrics 15 years ago
Actually, I completely disagree, due to the one line: "My heart is black to very core." The song is definitely about a relationship; that part is undeniable. However, I believe the male is quite willing to participate.

In my opinion, the girl in question is a typical "bad girl." The male desires the guilty pleasure of uninhibited lust and occasional law-breaking. Further, the relationship tarnishes her reputation, leading to the denial.
