I wouldn't say it's in direct opposition with religion (or more specifically Christianity). But certainly an expression from a frustrated and confused skeptic. |

Circa Survive, On letting Go, and this song in particular are very postmodern and welcome the listeners own meaning and interpretation. I wouldn't say this song is necessarily sexual, it's far more broad reaching than that.
.. "it's meant to strengthen your faith, and each time nite falls upon us, we always end up the same"
Temptation extends beyond sexuality alone. What's being said is, ultimately, at the end of the day, we end up the same, giving into temptation. Just because it's night doesn't mean it's sexual. At the end of the day, we end up the same place we started. You are who you are, and you can't escape it. Anthony may also be criticizing criticizing religion's promise of becoming a new person.
Sorry dude, this song is saturated with critique of Christian theology. |

Again, it's most likely not about the rapture, but the HOly spirit.
The rapture doesn't make sense considering the vocabulary of the bible with the lyrics "There'll be a site (sight)and an invisible light shown down on them and took them in"

Keeping consistent with the vocabulary of the bible I doubt it has to do with the rapture. More likely the Holy Spirit. |

This song is about his struggles with Christianity. Not sure either way. Faith without doubt is blind. He may be the most faithful of all of us. |

5"For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,[b] she took of its fruit(D) and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her,(E) and he ate. 7(F) Then the eyes of both were opened...
