| That line's from Bret Easton Ellis's Lunar Park, the whole of FOABP was inspired by the drugged up suburban rich kids in that novel. Remember that from an interview with Wilson I read a while ago, can't remember where though, sorry! | |

from what I can decipher it sounds like "you've got to see the waves not the wine in (the) bottle it's the waves now" you can hear it better on We Lost The Skyline's live version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14O7STTWQNo&feature=related and the version of Stars Die on that album is the best version. Ever. Enjoy! |

Just been watching some interviews with Mikael on FaceCulture and he says that it was a song written about his girlfriend after she split with him, http://www.faceculture.tv/index.php?cnti_key=11734922 (Opeth - 2005 - II) but the whole Devil thing seems like a decent interpretation. Oh and this song is Godly. |

White wall, I had to paint a door I always find that I've been through it before Close it up and throw away the key Reminds me of Brain Damage "you lock the door/throw away the key/there's someone in my head/but it's not me" so yeah, incredible song, just found it on Arriving Somewhere... got the chorus stuck in my head, only listened to it once! Gavin's immense! |
