This song is about whatever you want it to be about, guys. That's the beauty of Conor's poetic lyricism. :D |

| Bright Eyes – Haligh, Haligh, a Lie, Haligh Lyrics | 15 years ago |

about the Haligh thing, it may not be set in stone or the answer to all our questions, but on urbandictionary.com it has one definition: 1. An angsty and/or emo teenage girl. 2. A girl that breaks your heart. 3. A chant of heartbreak. the last two make a lot of sense to me, even if the word is made up. the second on is clear, he's speaking to this girl, and the "chant" could be what some of us think is like the old expression. just a thought. |

Conor is his own, of course. He's conor. That's all I have to say about it. :D But really, He's a mix between almost any music genre at least once. so clearly he's one like no other. |

Oh good!! I'm not the ONLY one who does not know what Haligh means. Gosh, All of you make valid points about it, though. But I'm set on the idea that its an old expression. |

| I know what your talking about. That dancing thing. It might seem silly, but the song, it's so. it's like he throws the emotions at you and you can't help but want to dance. | |
| Bright Eyes – Don't Know When but a Day Is Gonna Come Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I kind of experienced what you're talking about here. First with the question of childhood religion. Definitely been through that. Grew up catholic and never knew if it was right. Then the next part, about people looking at you for what your family did and not what you did, I've definitely been through that as well- I was looked down on because my family members had gotten into things and I was kind of like next in line to be a screw-up. Conor's far beyond amazing in what he does. I love this song. |

| Bright Eyes – You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think that when he, well actually "she", poses it as a question in the You Wills, i think she's kind of second guessing him. kind of like "You'll come back. You will. Right? You'll come back right!?" is it just me or does that make sense!? She knows he'll be back, but she doesn't know how long it'll take until he returns. I'm not sure. The way he sings is kind of contradictory to it. He sings it like he's 100% sure. I don't know. just a thought. |
