it's a song bout guy and girl who could have some future together but cos the other one is moving away they've no reason to talk about it. It'd just break both of them. The guy would really like to say how he feels about the girl and he tries to get the courage by saying to himself "they're only words and words can't kill me". Well, he won't say it cos "the cadence of what she says is swell" and the girl says: "let's talk about spaceships or anything except you and me, okay?" so they try to find something else to talk about, like the spider on the wall and algebra. :D |
