@Jozsa-- You're totally right. All of the winter references could be to a specific memory or perhaps they could also symbolize the chilling setbacks within a relationship. Additionally, as far as the relationship being described within the song, it is certainly one shared by two dynamic individuals. The speaker within the song (whom I assume to be Jarrod) seems to be characterized as the dutiful significant other who simply wants his woman to chill out. It also seems like he's been into her for a long time (waited so patiently for everyone else to leave) and that now that they're finally together, he's doing everything in his power to make it work-- even at the cost of his own friendships (I'm not anti-social; you just fulfill those needs) because he feels like he needs no one but her. |
