| Jane Siberry – Mimi On The Beach Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| At first, I thought it was a lesbian song about a girl (i.e. Jane Siberry) desperate for another girl named Mimi who was at sea floating on a pink surfboard. I later soon found out by the song's sequel "Mimi Speaks" that pretty much explains the whole story behind the events surrounding the song Mimi on the Beach with no hints of lesbianism unlike Mimi on the Beach. | |
| Jane Siberry – An Angel Stepped Down (and Slowly Looked Around) Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This is an amazing song by Jane Siberry on her "When I Was A Boy" album and I just love Rebecca Jenkins singing parts of the song as the angel and when Rebecca sings the song's biggest lyrical part of: is no one asking for this dance? were you not asking for this chance? come on... (I can't) come on! (I ... I can't) come on come on! It just gives me goosebumps because it was very soulful and I just love Rebecca Jenkins work as a vocalist for Jane Siberry's past albums because of the rich harmonies being put together to make great dreamy and atmospheric vocals :) |

| Laurie Anderson – The Day The Devil Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The song could be about two things: 1. It could be about being kidnapped and raped and the whole imagery of "The Devil" represents a man who destroys the innocence of victims and he both bribes and manipulates his victims with needful things that causes chaos. 2. It could also be about a person selling their souls to the Devil for stupid and worthless things that would soon drive them all crazy. that's just my two interpretations of this song. |
