Hmm. I agree with those who said it was about a mother not being able to keep her child. I think the line "I'm saving you the best way I know how" has something to do with the mother knowing that if her child is kept with her, the child wouldn't have a good life. So she's saving her child the best way she knows how by giving them away. |

I agree with beh700, but I think there's a slight lesbian undertone. I didn't think so until I saw the music video. My interpretation is two women trying to find love. Maybe their love wasn't accepted and something got in their way (fmaily, beliefs, society), and they're trying to find it.
It could also be about best friends, missing each other. But that's just my take. |
