Im not 100% sure, but i have a feeling from the flow of the lyrics that this is another of Mark Hunters Movie songs.. along the lines of The Flame, Pictures in the Gold Room, Disapearing Sun, etc.. I have NO idea what movie or if i am correct. It just has that feel to me. |

THANK YOU!! Knowing that Mark is a huge movie buff and writes a lot of songs about movies i KNEW something this disturbing could only be from a movie, I just couldnt figure out what movie it was. Thanks a ton! And it doesnt surprise me that it was a David Lynch movie lol. |

Ok guys, i just read a review for the album in which Mark Hunter himself says he wrote the song about a friend of his named Lazurus who commited suicide 11 years prior to album release and he specifically said it is NOT about the Biblical character....

The album's closer is the epic, dynamic mindfuck called "Lazarus." It's the "most roller coaster track. It's not about the Biblical character, but a friend who committed suicide 11 years ago. It's the most personal song I've ever written, and I got it out of my system," Hunter says, admitting he envisions kids listening to the song on headphones, to fully absorb it.
