I just can't believe how meaningful and powerful this song is... I feel like it really speaks to me and the lie I've been living..To me the song is about a girl or guy who loves someone so much.. unconditionally.. with all their heart for the first time in a long time--but they don't feel the same. I kind of feel like the girl is asking the guy to finally make a move... Asks him to say SOMETHING...ANYTHING to make her believe that there is hope for them..some hope for the futuer.. but he remains quiet. Finally she makes a move. If you watch the music video, there is a little girl who hides under a bed and I feel like that's how we all feel when we break up with someone who we love.. just feel like hiding from it all. |

| I never realized how deep these lyrics are. "Battle scars" are just scars that are leftover after endless fights with his girlfriend. He knows that it isn't working out, he knows that he is fighting for something that isn't worth it... but he does it anyway. It remind me of how alot of people feel in relationship that they are "stuck" in because of the "fear of the unknown". | |

I think B.O.B. wrote this about his career specifically, but it can apply to anything. He describes all the achievements and the successes of his career that made him feel like he's on top of the world: "I swear it, feels like I'm dreaming it's vividly defined yeah" This song is about the saying "What goes up must come down" but he is saying that he can't handle the fall (if there is one): Cause there ain't no parachute that they can make for this Cause I put my pain, My heart, My soul, My faith in this As you can see, this can apply to anything you achieve in your life. You don't want your successes to slip away from you so you say "Don't let me fall". It's a beautiful song and can even apply to relationships. It describes being in a great position with your significant other where you are on cloud-nine and hoping that nothing goes wrong so that you don't fall. |

I love this song. She's singing to a boy telling him that she's ready to move to the next step of their relationship (I guess start dating and telling the world about them). It seems like they started off as just friends and they realized their love for each other, so they tried to forget about it, but she can't and so she sings: Its become something that's impossible to ignore And I can't take it I was wondering maybe Could I make you my baby If we do the unthinkable will it make us look crazy If you ask me I'm ready This stanza is my favorite: Why give up before we try Feel the lows before the highs Clip our wings before we fly away I can't say I can't compare I'm suspended it the air Won't u come be in the sky with me She's asking the boy why should we give up on this relationship before anything ever happened. Why should we feel the pain of ending our relationship before we can feel like we can conquer the world. Why would we give up before we even try to make this work and try to be on top of the world. She's putting herself out there when she says she's already suspended in the air and she asks him to come be in the sky with her. It's so beautiful to be in love. |
