I think it is a pure & simple love song from a male perspective. From his 1st sighting of her beauty to her finding her amulet. I love the lines "Then we swirled around each other and the thread was spun To some arcadian band I would stop it from swinging like a pendulum Just to hold time in my hand" To me the imagery is song, dance and love. Holding her heart in his hand would stop time. I just love this song!! |

| Brilliant, I missed the "Jerry Springer" connection all together. Cool how the chorus subtley changes from "see" to "be" as he moves into the current era of reality TV. Great tune... insightful comments! | |

| My wife and I live in rural Canada. A few years back we had a severe ice storm and the power was off for 5 days. We had to keep the fireplace going to warm the house. We played music, read and talked. It definitely was a throw back in time.... no phones, television etc. It was really thought provoking in terms of questioning how many of the technological advantages we depend on really make our life better. I think, as usual, Mark puts beautiful a melody over lyrics that can create imagery and make you think, great song. | |
